This is the official page of the Fully Informed Jury Association. FIJA is a non-partisan, 501(c)(3) non-profit, educational organization dedicated to informing everyone of their full powers as jurors, including their right and responsibility to consult their consciences and to set aside the law when a just verdict requires it, voting Not Guilty even if the law has technically been broken. This authority is referred to as jury nullification, juror veto, or conscientious acquittal. Jurors may have to exercise it to deliver a just verdict when the law is inherently unjust, when it is being unjustly applied in the case at hand, when the punishment for the offense is unjust in comparison to the severity of the offense, or for other reasons of good conscience.
